How long am I allowed to live in the dorm?
Our rental contracts are limited to time frame of seven semesters. After this time, you won't have to send in a separate cancellation.
In exceptional cases, you will have the opportunity to apply for a extension of your contract. Additionally, you can receive a contract extension by being socially involved in your dorm though working with the HV or running a regular activity group.

What happens to my room during semester break?
Are you at home during the summer or winter break?
You might want to sublease your room during that time. It is very simple. All you need to do is fill a form for having a subtenant and pay a fee of 25€, as soon as you find a subtenant. Please be aware that you are responisble for any damage the subtenant causes during that time.

All inclusive rent - what does that mean?
We offer an all inclusive rent which means that there won't be any additional costs for garbage, gas and water. we also offer Internet a free service.
The all inclusive rent doesn't include:
- GEZ (further information here)
- Costs for washing and drying - if you want clean clothes you need to pay for it by yourself. One load in the washing machine is € 1,80, a load in the dryer is € 0,80.
Autoload is an automated loading service. There are terminals in every dorm to relaod your StudiCard to e.g. wash your clothes.
Who do I contact in case of emergency?
If you lock yourself out of your room, there is a fire in your dorm or you have a water damage, outside of the office hours of the caretaker, you can call the emergency service.
