Exchange movie tips in Italian? Talk about your last vacation in French or finally find out what Finnish sounds like?

At the language café, you can talk to beginners and native speakers in the language you finally want to learn, brush up on or perfect. The highlight: one language is spoken at each table. There is always a professional at the table to keep the conversation going and help if things get stuck. You are free to choose which conversation you want to join and can participate at your own language level.

The number of tables and the choice of languages depends on how many volunteer language table leaders there are, but in any case there are tables for German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.

Would you like to offer or support a language yourself?

The Sprachcafé will be even better with you! We welcome all native speakers, prospective linguists and future teachers who would like to offer a table in a new language or join the Sprachcafé team. You don't have to be perfect, don't worry! The main thing is that you can give others the opportunity to use the language you offer in an informal way, to understand it better and to express themselves in it. We will develop topics and conversation starters together and provide you with everything you need for a successful and exciting evening at the language café.
