Studying also needs to be financed. After the joy of receiving a place at university, the question often arises:

“How do I finance my studies?”
In most cases, financing your studies consists of a mix of several financing options.

The most well-known funding is probably BAföG, although this is not administered by the Studierendenwerk itself, but by the respective university. Further information on BAföG can be found here.

In addition to BAföG, the Studierendenwerk Mainz offers loans for various stages of study. In an acute financial emergency, you can apply for various grants.
