In unseren Wohnheimen gibt es 4 verschiedene Wohnformen

WGs = Wohngemeinschaften | Zusammenleben mit anderen Studierenden in einer Wohnung, deinen Mitbewohner*innen.
Jede*r Mitbewohner*in hat ein eigenes abschließbares Zimmer und gemeinsame Bereiche werden zusammen genutzt: Gemeinschaftsküche, Aufenthaltsbereich und in manchen Wohnheimen auch abschließbare Duschen und Toiletten (außer K3 und Münchfeld). In 2er WGs sind die Mitbewohner*innen vom gleichen Geschlecht, größere WGs sind bunt gemischt. Zusammen kochen oder essen? Begegnungen mit den Mitbewohnern sind im Alltag leicht.

Im Apartment zu leben, bedeutet alleine zu leben. Nachbarn leben in den angrenzenden Apartments, ihren eigenen kleinen Wohnungen.

Inter 2, Weisenau
Wichtig zu wissen: Paar-Wohnung sind nicht WG-geeignet.
- Paar-Wohnungen im Inter 2 haben ein gemeinsames Schlafzimmer, ein Durchgangszimmer, das zugleich Arbeitszimmer, Wohnzimmer und Küche (Pentryküche) ist und ein Badezimmer.
- Paar-Wohnungen in Weisenau bestehen aus einem Zimmer mit zwei Betten, zwei Schränken, einer Pentryküche und einem Badezimmer.
4. Familienwohnungen = 2,5-Zimmer-Wohnung

Familienwohnungen = 2,5-Zimmer-Wohnung | Nur für Familien.
Das kleinste, der 2,5 Zimmer ist kein Durchgangszimmer. Zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Zimmer das zum Lernen, Leben und Kochen genutzt wird und ein Badezimmer.
Inter 2
Wichtig zu wissen: Familien-Wohnung sind nicht WG-geeignet.
Sie bestehen aus eine kleinen Schlafzimmer, einem Durchgangs-Schlafzimmer und einem weiteren Durchgangszimmer, das zugleich Arbeitszimmer, Wohnzimmer und Küche (Pentryküche) ist und einem Badezimmer.

Wir haben alle Kosten wie beispielsweise Müllentsorgung, Haus-Reinigungsleistungen, Vermietungs- und Hausmeisterservice bereits in die Miete eingerechnet. Es gibt keine nachträglichen Nebenkostenabrechnungen.

In unseren Wohnheimen sind alle Zimmer, Wohnungen und Apartments möbliert. Jeder Wohnraum, den wir anbieten ist ist möbliert: Bett, Schrank, Schreibtisch, Stuhl, Regal, Kühlschrank.
Wir bieten keine Möglichkeit die Möbel auszulagern. Beim Auszug müssen die Möbel in dem gleichen Zustand im Zimmer stehen.

Gemeinschaftsraum im Wohnheim
In jedem unserer Wohnheime gibt es einen Gemeinschaftsraum für Events von Studierenden für Studierende. Die Gemeinschaftsräume werden von der Gruppe der ehrenamtlichen Studierenden, genannt "HV" dast steht für Heimvertretung betreuut.
In manchen Wohnheimen gibt es es mehr als einen Raum: Weisenau, Wallstraße, Inter 2 haben etwa drei Räume.
Musik-Übungsräume gibt es in den Wohnheimen Weisenau, Wallstraße, Inter 2, Hechtsheim.
Erfahre mehr über die Möglichkeiten dich ehrenamtlich im Wohnheim zu engagieren und dabei viele Leute aus deinem Wohnheim kennen zu lernen. Für Engagement gibt es Wohnzeitverlängerung und ein Zertifikat.

Hausmeister-Notdienst-Service
Hausmeister-Notdienst: Außerhalb der Arbeitszeiten der Hausmeister übernimmt für Notfälle der Notdienst. Wenn z.B. Wasser durch die Wand tropft, der Rauchmelder Alarm schlägt, du dich ausgeschlossen hast, dann kannst du dich telefonisch beim Notdienst melden.
Eine Liste, für was der Nodienst verantwortlich ist, findest du auf der oben verlinkten Seite, genauso wie die Telefonnummer des Nodiensts.

Fahrradabstellplätze und PKW-Abstellplätze gibt es in jedem Wohnheim. I
n der Wallstraße und im K3 gibt es abschließbare Gitterboxen. Im Inter 2, im Binger-Schlag, im Münchfeld, in Bingen, in der Oberstadt und in Hechtsheim gibt es Fahrradkeller und Außen-Stellplätze. Im Kisselberg gibt es Außen-Stellplätze.

In den Wohnungen, Aparments und WG-Zimmern gibt es nur Möbel, keine Grundausstattung wie Decke, Kopfkissen, Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Geschirr, Besteck. Das alles musst du mitbringen.Wenn du es nicht mitbringen willst oder kannst, kannst du auch ein Basis-Pack, die Grundausstattung fürs Wohnheim bei uns kaufen.
In großen WGs, manchmal auch in kleineren haben deine Mitbewohner bereits etwas mitgebracht und alle dürfen es benutzen.

Kontakte knüpfen im Wohnheim und darüber hinaus
In einer WG findest du am unkompliziertesten Kontakt zu anderen Studierenden. Noch besser: In jedem Wohnheim gibt es einen Gemeinschaftsraum, in dem du leicht Leute aus deinem Wohnheim kennenlernen kannst. Schau am besten mal auf die Aushänge im Wohnheim oder frag den Hausmeister, wie du in deinem Wohnheim zur Heimvertretung (HV) Kontakt aufnehmen kannst – dort kannst du viele Kontakte knüpfen.
Ehrenamtliches Engagement ist ebenfalls eine tolle Möglichkeit, neue Leute zu treffen und dich vor Ort einzubringen.
Außerhalb des Wohnheims bietet das Studierendenwerk Mainz verschiedene Aktionen an, bei denen du andere Studis treffen kannst, zum Beispiel die Studi-Events oder das Sprachcafé:. Einfach vorbeikommen und mitmachen!
Willst du gezielt Leute mit den gleichen Interessen kennenlernen? Dann werde Buddy und lerne ander Buddys kennen. Oder werde Gast-Studi und lerne zugleich die Menschen und die Region hier besser kennen.

After you’ve arrived at Mainz main station, you can take the tram 52, 53 or Bus 66, 67, 9 (towards Hechtsheim). You exit the tram at the stop “Kurmainz-Kaserne/ Akademie der Wissenschaften“. You turn left to the traffic light, cross the street and follow the Generaloberst-Beck-Straße for ca. 100m. You will find the dorm on your right hand side. The key can be picked up from the caretaker in house 10.

From Mainz main station you can take the busses 54, 55, 56, 75, 650 or Tram 51, 59. You get off the bus at “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg” and cross the street over the bridge. From there, you can see a bluish multistory building. The Inter II is located right next to it. The caretaker’s office is in house 30.
Distances: Since you live on the JGU Campus, you are very close to all of the university's buildings. You also only need roughly 5 minutes to HS Mainz (Lucy-Hillebrand-Straße) and approx. 20 minutes to HS Mainz (Holzstraße). Click to find a proper bus connection.

Coming from Mainz main station, you can either take busses 6, 90 (Münchfeld). Get off the bus at “Hegelstraße” and follow the tracks for a few meters. Then turn right into Franz-Werfel-Straße. At the end of the road on the left-hand side is the dorm “Münchfeld”. The caretaker's office is in the basement.
Distances: Your dorm is near the JGU Campus - you can reach it in less than 10 minutes. It'll take you about 15 minutes to get to the HS Mainz (Lucy-Hillebrand-Straße) and approx. 30 minutes to the HS Mainz (Holzstraße) by bus. Click to find a proper bus connection.
