Wheelchair in Mensa

The central canteen has a special entrance for wheelchair users on the first floor of the canteen building. The access door can be opened with the EURO key. The cafeteria on the 1st floor of the central cafeteria can be reached by elevator.

All other cafeterias are located on the first floor and are also easily accessible by wheelchair.

Mainz University of Applied Sciences and TH Bingen

The canteens and cafeterias at both locations of Mainz University of Applied Sciences and the Büdesheim location of Bingen University of Applied Sciences are located on the ground and basement floors. Wheelchair access is possible. The cafeteria of the Bingen University of Applied Sciences at the Rochusberg site can be reached by elevator.

Tray Service

In all catering facilities, our staff are happy to help with serving and carrying the tray to the seat. The tray can also be cleared away after the meal. Just let us know at the cash desk. We will be happy to help.

 

Wheelchair-accessible apartments

Of course, we also have a contingent of wheelchair-accessible apartments in our halls of residence. Students with disabilities are given priority in the student residences of the Studierendenwerk. 

Apartments and rooms for wheelchair users are available in the following halls of residence:

  • Inter II, 2-person apartments (approx. 30 square meters, can be rented for 1-2 people, e.g. carer, partner, ...)
  • K3, 1-room apartments (approx. 36 sqm)
  • Oberstadt, 1-room apartments (approx. 30 sqm); 2-room shared flat: 2 rooms (approx. 29 sqm)
  • Wallstraße, 1-room apartments (approx. 27 sqm)

All residential units include appropriate sanitary facilities, kitchens and furniture. For further information, please contact the Student Housing Department of the Studierendenwerk Mainz.
