Top up the app with Google Pay, Apple Pay, credit card, and SEPA

You can now top up the StudiwerkMainz app using Google Pay, Apple Pay, credit card, and, as before, SEPA. Check it out in the app!

Of course, we’ve also updated our Terms and Conditions accordingly ( legally binding text - in german only).

An overview of the most important changes in the Terms & Condiditions:

  • The previous regulations have been restructured and organized in a more understandable way.
  • The app’s name has been updated. Going forward, the app will be called the StudiwerkMainz app.
  • In the StudiwerkMainz app, users will now also be able to add funds via PAYONE. This means the app now offers new top-up options via credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
  • Registration is required to use the StudiwerkMainz app. Upon registration, a personalized credit account is created.
  • The regulations regarding student rates have been expanded. Student status must be confirmed and renewed each semester. Student rates can only be granted if student status is currently on file.
  • The rules regarding the Studi-Card have been clarified. In particular, a distinction is made between anonymous and registered use. In the case of anonymous use, if the card is lost, the balance cannot be blocked, refunded, or transferred.
  • The rules regarding SEPA direct debit and the autoload process have been revised. Among other things, the registration process, the setting of the top-up amount and the minimum balance threshold, as well as usage at the checkout and in the app, have been described in greater detail.
  • The rules for cash top-ups at terminals have also been clarified. Cash top-ups can be made using 5-, 10-, and 20-euro bills. In the event of any malfunctions, please report them promptly to Studierendenwerk Mainz.
  • The rules for withdrawing credit have also been clarified. Withdrawals are only possible in connection with the termination of the user account. Depending on the method used to top up the account, the withdrawal will be processed via bank transfer or in cash at the Info-Point.
