Childcare center Sprößlinge

Dear parents, dear interested parties,

Since its launch in 2017, the Montessori Kinderhaus Sprösslinge has become a colorful, lively place that offers children space to develop, grow and discover. Our multi-professional team works here according to the insights of Maria Montessori, the famous Italian reform pedagogue, philosopher and philanthropist, and current scientific findings.

Sponsor:
Studierendenwerk Mainz has been a daycare center provider since 2011. A total of 38 places are available for children under the age of two and 144 places for children over the age of two.

Concept:
The Sprösslinge is a Montessori childcare center. You can find more information about the concept here here (Montessori Kinderhaus “Sprösslinge” crèche groups) or here (Montessori Kinderhaus “Sprösslinge” kindergarten groups).

General conditions:

We can look after up to 100 children aged 12 months to school age at the Sprösslinge children's house. The prerequisite for this is that at least one parent is either enrolled at a university or college or works for one of our cooperation partners. Our cooperation partners are Mainz University of Applied Sciences, the Max Planck Institutes for Chemistry and Polymer Research and the Institute of Molecular Biology.

Costs:
In Rhineland-Palatinate, children are free of charge from the age of two. Parents only pay for food and diapers.
For the care of children under two, an income-dependent parental contribution is due, which is set by the Studierendenwerk Mainz according to the guidelines of the city of Mainz. Depending on income and number of children, the parental contribution is between €31 and €670 per child per month.

Registration:
You can find a registration form on this page on this page..

When making your plans, please also consider the settling-in period for your child, i.e. the phase before your child can be looked after full-time without your presence. This is up to six weeks. For example, if you end your parental leave on October 15 and would like to work full-time at this time, the settling-in period must begin on September 1.

Initiatives and actions

Sprösslinge will become a consultation daycare center for Rhineland-Palatinate in 2024

The Montessori Kinderhaus Sprösslinge was selected as one of 16 consultation facilities in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, with a focus on personnel management in the daycare center. The annual funding of 15,000 euros will enable us to share our tried-and-tested knowledge and experience with other facilities from 2024 and to promote educational quality.
You can find more information about the program here.
